Photojournalistic residency 2018 led by Ferhat Bouda “Around yourself”

For its third residency, the Center International du Photojournalisme, with the help of the DRAC Occitanie and the City of Perpignan, has set up a journalistic photo residency.

The project was defined with the Youth Service of the City of Perpignan, the commissioned teacher, the CIP and Ferhat Bouda, photojournalist selected for this project.

The journalistic photo intention, the reports According to Ferhat Bouda, knowing how to photograph means being able to photograph your loved ones, your entourage, your environment.... It is in this space that the children and young people worked to build their photo reportage: around you.

With the support of Ferhat Bouda, the children and teenagers worked independently.

They are responsible for their images, their commitment to the project, their production. They produced subjects, shots, wrote and edited their report. They were thus confronted with their mistakes to enable them to understand all the facets of producing a photo report. Thus they were able, before their shots, to prepare their work, to choose their own angle, to select a "definition" of the theme of this residency.
